Hands down my favorite best dressed rapper out righ now happens to be young money's tyga!!! In the past three years he's really made a showing style gynastics!!! The past few award shows he's def killed the scene. He def stunted hard with silk versace shirt and jimmy choo dress shoes for the mtv video music awards. So for his 22 birthday he pulled out the stops by crushin an ill Silk fendi logo button down, dress pants, Hermes Belt, Velvet slippers, Versace shades, and a last kings snapback cap. He def killed it with this fit. What adds more craziness is his choice in over the top jewelry. I love the huge bold last kings chain. The thing is Tyga ha found a way to fuse flashiness with the bold taste of LA Fairfax hip scene. Even though he has a lot of people who help lend influence to his look and style, you must admitt he def shows and proves. My favorite fly dresed member of the Wu-tang Clan, Ghostface killah has always been one of my inspirations when it comes to getting dressed. I'm so in love with the two tone red and green walabee clarks!!!! Since I was a kid i've always wanted a pair of two tone clarks. But usually what used to happen was they would normally dye them. Then certain companies back between 98-99 were creating walls with two tone colors. My wallabee collection is very serious, but it would be complete with a pair of those. So today I wasn't planning on doing any black friday shopping, but at the last min I got the sudden urge to go shopping. Which I really needed. I started out by going to my favorite hat store Delmonico's where I came off with this tan wool apple jack hat. I also ordered two other bailey of hollywood hats that are def remarkable. I swear I love going in there. I tthink the lady in who works in there wants me LOL! She was occupied today, but next time I go in(next week) a brotha might make a move!!! LOL! Maybe!!! Anyway After that I went to another store(I refuse to comment on where) where I came up on this Roberto Cavalli scarf.Funny how I came up n this joint. This very dapper gent complimented me on my outfit and I complimented him on his jacket. From there he showwed me this mean scarf from Givenchy, I was so freakin shocked to see Givenchy in that particular store. To be honest at first I thought it was Versace, because it wasblack and white with the versace print. But he showed me the tag and I feaked. Then he pointed me inthe direction of some other scarves. Recently when I see Blackmen Dressed up, I normally see most of them sporting the Bespoke tailored look. Which is ok for someebody types. Many of today's black men have been sold on the whole European/Italian cut suit. However, what these "well Dressed" men in the African American community don't understand is these suits aren't created with our Body type in mind. I mean Jackets that are cut to stop at the hip. Pants that are so tight they look like they'll split if you take one turn. And headwear???? Lets just say the Fedora and the trilby are the dress hats of choice. Nothing against them because I've been known to sport a few. However, these looks don't really represent our culture. So when I thumbed through the Men's Wear section of The Ashiro Catalog, It must have been an act of god to see African American dressing for the style of the cuilture. Three piece flowing suits that are full in the legs, jackets that were cut just right to highlight the shape just right. I def love the Styling. White over coats, gray tweed over coats black velvet collars. Wide brim hats. Reminiscent of the Stacy Adams suits a few years ago. And not for nothing, a lot of these suits are from Stacy Adams. However, they're not the suits that they're pushing in Magazines. The red blazer on the intro-cover is so striking, very playerish, which makes a strong statement to wear the rest of the looks are going. Then I love the way they show you how to wear a bow-tie snd a three piece black suit with a black hat. Then turned around and switched up the look with a gray tweed over coat with the velvet collar and a Gray humberg godfather hat and a stacy adams shawl. The teal green suit is also sleek eye catching look. Also to my surprise Ashiro also showed off a breath taking black pinstripe three piece suit, with a red dress shirt with a matching red tie. From their they top it off by showing the black black suit, red dress shirt/tie look with a white over coat and white wide brim. Becide people in the high fashion world,many in the black community look down their nose at this particular style. It's like they hate to look like their four fathers. Many feel dressing like this reeks of a character act or put on. Many in our culture hate to be scene as a jack leg preacher or pimp. But let's be honest, you know what you are. You are what you make yourself to be. It's not the suit on the man, it's the main the suit. If the man in the suit is an up-standing memberof societ then that's what he is. Nobody can take that away from. Look all the old movies, this is how our black men dressed. Europe doesn't get our culture. Instead we shell out money to buy a piece of their culture, in which we don't fit in Literally and figuritivly. Even though I would never wear a suit out of this catolog(however I am clocking the coats and hats), it was refreshing to see this. It did my heart well to see black men looking powerful and bold. Not conforming to Savil Row!!!!

I'm just going to flat out say it, I freakin can't wait for Drake's New Album to come out. I'm a huge fan of Drake because his bars represent my lifestyle at this point. When he spits he comes from the perspective of the kid who has come from a small town, made his way through the entertainment world and is now trying to adjust to having fame. And judging from the few releases Drizzy dropped during the summer, his album, dubbed Take Care, won't stop short of finding his way through the bright lights. In june of 23011 he dropped a teaser called dreams money can buy, which was a heart felt recollection of a young man standing on the outside of his life. It starts off, "I got car money, fresh start mone, I want art money, saudi money". Having all of the things most young men his age are reaching to attain, but still feeling as though he needs to attain a higher wealth. Many felt that track was a Low key Diss to Jay-z. Rumors were dismissed shortly after. Soon Drake Dropped the Summer time anthem for all the ex's who are in New Relationships Marvin's Room. Not for nothin, i'm still tryna figure out who Marvin is!!! Lol! With him singin about having a drunk random call to his ex, spawned 50 million other remix songs from the likes of Tayana Taylor, Jojo, chris brown and Many others. Afteer around September he dropped a high impact Song and video headlines. After a string of teasers and freestyles, drake's take care is looking to be a fan favorite when it drops. I must say it was smart not to drop around the same date as Yeezy & jay's watch the thrown and Lil Wayne's Carter 4. So when Drake's album does he doesn't have to be in competition with others. For me it's been a while since an Artist of drake's calibur has been able to speak to this culture. To me the Last Rapper who did so was Kanye when he came with College Dropout. Everybody has been talkin that body bag and drive buy rap. But there aren't too many who aren't afraid to be vulnerable dig past their super stardom. Many rappers want totalk about pimpin broads but are afraid to rap about Losing love in the midst ofgaining the spot light. Many are afraid to say what's real!! It's been a while since i've actually sat down and actually watched Tv. All of the shows that I acctually wanted to sit down and watch end up becoming a distant memories. what a hectic lifestyle I lead Lol! However, one of the shows I was able to check out was this joint on MTV called Chelsea Settles. The show is about this sexy Full figured light skinned girl who leaves her town of Pittsburg to move to LA in search of a fashion Career. What's crazy is she's having a tough transition, one with leaving her mother behind who is sick and her non supportive boy friend. But what stands out to me is Chelsea being a full figured Female and wanting to pursue fashion. Obviously the fashion industry is created for those who plan be stick figures. What many feel will be her down fall in the fashion industry is her weight. Yes 324 pounds may not be able to fit into a Balmain Dress, however that doesn't mean that chelsea isn't sexy!!!! When it comes to style nothing says fly like hip-hop style during the late 80's early 90's. For these times, when the average person talks that fly talk about that time period, they normally speak of slick rick. But his counter part Dana Dane was also co holder of the style crown. So fast foward to the 2008 vh1 hip-hop awards, one of artiss that helped paid tribute with Dana dane was Mr. street fam himself, Fabolous. Fab straight up stole the stage when he came out with the Pea Green suit with white adidas and a white fur kangol caps. Def a striking fit to represent the class that hip-hop street culture represented. Dana dane straight came through with a simple chocolate blazer, brown wide brim hat, tan dress shirt bloused out, with navy blue jeans, and Adidas. He came through simple and stree chic. Still powerful. In my heart the way fab is dressed, is how I wish most rappers would consider dressing. A suit with the kicks can def go a long way. More so a long the way of how big sean gets down with the suit and sneakers move. Hopefull rappers take heed to the plee!!!

Been on the fence for a while with Coogi Footwear. A lot the designs are hit or miss to me. However, I have been a fan of their Aston selection. Basicly because the designs are reminiscent of the Wallabee clarks. Last year I wrote blogged about the remarkable Coogi Aston Boots. So now i'm blogging about the Coogi Aston low casuals which are rather sleek and low key cool. The tan joints are ok, but the brownish black color are avery strong and masculin. Plus the Coogi Logo is highlighted better. Not my idea of a shoe that I would call dressy. However,when supported with other key items can def make these shoes appropiate for any event.

More so than flashy but more so strong and straight foward.The side pockets and the strap really sets the design off when mixed with the dark brown and cognac earthtone colorways. Once again one of my favorite style cats Omarion rolls on the scene and straight destroys it. I'm in love with that slightly burnt orange Trench Coat, with what looks to be a printed silk button down shirt tucked into mildly baggy denim jeans, a slight burnt orangish belt with timberland boots. I def love this look. Reminds me of something that would have been attempted in 2001. I'm surprised Omarion went for baggy jeans unstead of skinnies. But I guess when you rock timbs you really can't wear tight jeans!!!! Lol! I always salute Omarion for being an unsung style beast. And like i've said he's one of my top best dressed out!!!

I must say that since the fall season began i'm really not impressed with momen's footwear. When I walk into a women's shoe store (for my mom and my other half), and I can only find two gems it baffles me. And not for nothin it reflects online as well. However, these black coogi heels are enough to stand out with the gold embelishments. The studs and the buckles transforms these into what I call a secod looker. Then on top of that the heel on these will def have any man beggin for ya number!!!! They def have the power toaccentuate the calf muscles when in the perfect dress.

Over the years aI have been a huge fan of Nas's word play. I've even been a fan of his no holds bared dress code. No matter what Nas has always tried to stick with what I like to call street chic classic. There are points we he does try to bring back that 80's retro feel, even when it wasn't popular at the time. Here wehave Nas at his 38th B-day party and I must say I really don't know what to say about his look. Nas has always looked great when he gets dressed up, but seriously theres a lot thats off about his look right here. I mean the flashy value is there but the fit is all wrong. Dtarting with the wine color dinner jacket. That joint looks so freakin tight. It honestly doesn't look in perportion with his shape. It would have been better if it was a size bigger. Then to be honest he should have went for a white dress shirt instead of black. The black pants should have been tapperd off a tad bit to fit him.Which would have made the Adidas looked more crisp. The best thing about this look are the shades. I'm a huge of over the top flashiness when it comes to getting dressed. I'm an even bigger fan of cats makin stattements with their wardrobe. But to me this looks likenas put on the first items he saw in his closet and rolled out. Even if that's what your intent was,please make it look ill. I used to love to see Nas get dressed up. But this joint right here doesn't live up to Nas's real taste level. It just looks extra rushed. And to be honest this look could have been put together 10x better. Idk, either way, it looks like he was diggin it. He was confident. I guess thats all that matters in the end.

Classic shoe with powerful detail. These Giorgio Brutini Spectator Wingtip shoes def make have the power to take an outfit from a seven to a twenty. Specially with the Red and white color way. When I buyshoes I have to be real careful because I have the tendency to go for the red color. And these spectators are a clear representationn of that. Even though I would never attempt it, I would love to see these paired with a pair of Navy blue hard indigo denim jeans. Even though now I think about it, the Navy blue dye from the jeans would stain the white leather portion of the shoe. please be careful of this move.
