City life

Tonight was the first episode of MTV's the Hills spinoff The City, staring former Hills co-star Whitney port!!! Yes, yes, I already know i'm the only hood dude waiting for this. But like I said befor, I love to see white girls get fly, party and look for love all in the same day!!! LOL! After seeing two episodes(on Mtv.com) i'm hooked. If your not a watcher of the show let me bring you up to speed. Whitney left LA where she worked at peoples revolution to take a job at working Public Relations for DVF(short for Dian Von fostenburg, huge luxery womens designer, in my opinion rivals Vera Wang). So she moves out there knowing absolutly nobody except for her love interest Jay who is looks like the face of soho and the meat packing disrict, some other sex dude named Alex(who dated her once). Other characters include this chick (forgot her name, she's the quirky roommate) and what looks to be her rival Ms. New York Socialite, Olivia. I'm already loving homegirl. Everything about her screams Saks Fith and Neaman Marcus!!! Thats my type of bird!!!! It's kind of weired seeing this, cause on the hills, Whitney in my opinion was the most fashion foward out of her counter parts(lauren, audreana, and heidi). So it kind of seems like she met her match when dealing with olivia. But, olivia is more established. She's known all over the city, she's in every social party or club, she rocks the sickest clothes, and she throws dinner parties just for fun. You know junk is wild when Manolo Blanik is a family friend. What's going to make this show a favorite of mine is it's very fashion/style oriented than the hills is. What it most definetly showcases is the definitive battle between New York's Uptown and Downtown scenes. To a person like me who hasn't been to New york in ages(but ask me about North Carolina and we'll be here for years), its very interesting. To a person looking in, you see them all as the same thing. Nothing but people who feel they are what style is. But there is a big difference. You have Downtown thrift store junkies and then you have uptown boutique shoppers. Now a days New York Scene becomes a blur sometimes. Especailly when myspace comes into play. But any way I appreciate that when it comes to this show. Other than that you'll see a lot of hurt coming her way. She doesn't know who to trust. Then she finds out that in a city that big, everybody knows everybody. Really thats the case everywhere. Just like New Haven, everybody knows everybody. Nothing new, just shows you how small the world is. Plus you have to be careful of who you deal with. Well any way, you know the $FrEsH-KiNg$ will be a faithful watcher, when i'm not out paining the town green!!!! Or whatever color I like!!! LOL!

I have to give it to Bacardi A.K.A Mr. Dark who crushed this fit. On so so so many levels this brings style back!!! For one Lets start with the detail in the blazer. Love the Lion design on the back. The scarf flows proper and the sweater is also helping matters. But let me get to the feet!!! I go to look down at the feet, and I see the kicks. I almost thought they were Evisu's at first. BUT NO!!!! They're LEVI'S!!! Which made it even better!!!!! Around new haven nobody is rocking Levi kicks!!!! So he smashed the game on em!!!! I give credit where credit is do. You'll have to excuse me, I see style totally differently than the average man would. This is a very innovative look. The blazer and the kicks are what sets this gentleman apart from the masses. A+ on the FuZz game.

Today while out I did a lil shopping,I came up on these two Enyce Sweaters from four seasons ago(I could tell from the tags). Recently most of the fashion foward community are begining to really look down their noses at many urban apperal brands. in my opinion I can't look down my nose at these brands because brands like Sean John, Enyce, Ecko, Pelle, and kani because those are classic brands that I grew up on. Those brands are still making clothes for the Urban Community that break boundries. They craft items that I can mix into my regular wardrobe and be considered works of art. I go so hard against brands like Ed Hardy and Black Label because they're putting out wild sex items that are trend orientated. They won't be popular by next year. By march something else will take over in their place and they'll be cast into the sea of the forgotten. But it's brands that put out quality items that speak to my style and culture that will be worn upon thy flesh. And these sweaters are no exception. I had to cop these joints.

To me there are only two white guys who have crazy FuZzEd out style. That's johnny Depp and Jack White from the White stripes. Homeboy's got a chicago detroit vibe with the Gators that can't wait!!! What's so hard about these styles on a red carpet event is the Papo's don't know how to handle it. They feel it's to costomy or a look that's unrealistic. So they force the masses to dress like brad or cloney. Like they're so fashion foward. They're great don't get me wrong, but depp and white have a raw take no prisoners edge to style!!!! That's how my style is. And that's needed at these red carpet events. The pics tell the taleof the tape. In a sea of all black custum fit Tux's and black suits, you see this one weird white dude crushin a blue tux or a blue double breasted suit!!! That speaks volumes!!!

Merry FuZzN Christmas all!!!! Christmas this year is filled with many mixed emotions. This is the first christmas I've spent without my grandmother. For some reason Thanksgiving wasn't as hard, but my fam and I are making it through!!! Hazel is most definetly missed!!! The only Shoe you would have ever caught a hood dude wearing in 98-99. I remember guys used to wear them with baggy dockers khaki's, a dress shirt hangin out under a Ralph Lauren Polo sweater. It's really hard to beleave hardcore hood dudes would actually dress like this, or even think to wear this type of shoe. I would most def wear them. Refunds and Exchanges!!!!

Even though Armani made a lot of money through 02, 03, and 04 with there AX/Armani Exchange T's and their denim, but it just feels that club scene had over saturated the brands meaning. This is my opinion but when I see Armani Exchange t's it doesn't excite me like it used to. Mainly because at one point that's all you saw guys wearing to the club. I don't want to get into demographics and Stereotypes but when I hear Armani Exchange I think of Steve Madden and Diesel bowling shoes. Which are brands that don't mean the same since the pinical of their sales. And have also been adorned by the same demographic. Getting back to Ax,even though there has been a calm in their presence on the streets, the brand is still respected. If you haven't noticed watch a lot of DKNY's men's T's and button downs. For the past four years they've been heavily inspired by AX. I can't say they jacked, because they still come out with a lot of revolutionary peices. However if you look at the shapes and logos, you can see a touch of 02 and 03 Armani in play. The Irony is hoping te brand has a chance at a come back to appeal to the market.There are only few brands that are able to have long lasting staying power in fashion. Tommy Hilfiger is still tryna get back on the good foot after the decline in sales after the rascist controversy. Even though his designs are still respected. May I mention say Sergio Valente? Many more brands. I guess they all just hold their place in time.

Besides that, this is the part where every sneaker head wants to fight me!!!!! The only time you see Jordan wearing his own kicks is when he's Ballin. Other than that he's suited!!! And might I add he's one of the sickest dressers to grace the hard wood floor. I swear Steve Harvey is really reaching Micheal Jordan and Magic Johnson statis in terms of putting their names on products. From suits, hats and shoes, to now doing his own timepeice collection. He has two seperate joints, one the Elite Collection which pushes for $80.00 range and the Swiss Collection which is in the $700.00 ball park. So no matter which way you look at it, they both are made with extra quality. To be honest the Swiss collection looks like a whole bunch of junk that has been influenced by Rolex. While the Elite has a few exotic peices, that would attract attention. Which ever one you buy they will be a great get for a watch collector.

Taking the concept from the Midevil ages and have created some of the sickest shoes out. Many companies have capitalized on the market, but the two that use it in abundance are Giorgio Brutini and Robert Wayne. In my personal opinion brutini does it the best. Their embelished designs create drama on your feet.

The last time I was up in Macys I noticed that Ralph Lauren had once again revamped their logo. Not to worry all my Lo Lifes and Lovers, they're still selling their original small polo man. However as you can see from the Polo Rugby it has a more animated(for lack of better words)look. I must say I was really feeling Polo's new look. I would kill that Rugby on some dress casual and regular dress(trust me it can be done). And lets not talk about those Lo slippers(I see what you mean Karl). very regal look to them. Smooth Criminal!!!

A while back I posted a pic of Jada suited up at the Grammys. Problem was the suit didn't suit him!!! He looked as if he was trying way to hard. And that's not Jada. On this round Jada won extra cool points with me on this pic. He straight up went Hood Luxery on everybody!!! I'm not all into colors going well with the skin tone thing(that junk is stupid!!!), but the tan color works well with his complection. The loui cap and scarf are great additions to the look. Which obviously give it that Hood rich, Hood Luxery, Ghetto Chic, Ghetto Fab(whatever it's called these days). Some would say it's an outfit that tries too hard because of too many Louis Vuitton logos. But that's what's so ill about hood luxery. It's meant to be too much. You check out Dapper Dan designs they were meant to be too much. Why because they were selling to the Urban Consomer who never had a peice of Luxery a day in there life. So when they finally get their hands on a statis symbol, they're gonna go all out!!! But anyway, over all i love this fit!!! outside of T's and Jeans Jada does have a good style base. He just doesn't need to jump all the way into bespoke cause it's really not him. But this represents Jada's image way better, n my opinion.

For the love of the FuZz: Kevin Liles

Yo word to the FuZz, I have to say Kev Liles is a freakin style beast now!!!! I mean since dude lost a tremendous amount of weight he's been goin haed with the style. In a sense yes, he might be channeling his inner gentlemen or inner bentley(which ever you use)he's really goin hard. I started noticing it back when Diddy was using VH1 television time to look for a new personal assistant. I couldn't beleave that was him!!!! This is one of those cases where if he's using a stylist or he's going off of his own sense of fashion(which I would like more)It's really paying off. I tilts my hat to him.

Marc Ecko is burnin em!!!

These are a couple peices from Marc Ecko's upscale cut and sew line. The vests are monster!! They could go head to head with Express any day. But since the brand came on the scene around 05-06, they've always made clothing that were ground breaking conversation peices. I remember they had a charcoal grey wool long over coat/zoot suit inspired jacket. It was a wild fusion between the two. I could kick myself for not purchasing it. To also add insult to injury the Marc Ecko brand was the first with this whole Skell and bones thing. Everybody wants to give credit to Dead Party(catch up).

This is a slap in the face to hip-hop on so many levels. Really maybe a slap to lil wayne. But isn't this what Mad Magazine and Cracked Magazine is based on? Well any way it was too funny when I saw it!!
